There Goes The Neighborhood
Former Laguna Beach star Jason Wahler is headed back to television. "It'll be the real-life version of Entourage," Jason, 21, tells Life & Style of his new VH1 show. "We start filming in April. I've got a lot going on: auditions, movies, parties. It's not exactly the same as Entourage -- I'm not making $10 million a movie!" And don't expect to see a lot of Jason's fiancée, Katja Decker-Sadowski. "Most of my relationship will be private," he says. "I didn't want to make Newlyweds."
This sounds like the worst.show.ever. This poor man's version of Entourage will very likely make Dina Lohan's reality TV show look like Masterpiece Theater. I'd rather see a Justin Bobby reality TV show. [Source]

The TV Guide: You Take The Good With The Bad
I did get an email from Steph and Alek in Paris and they weren't having a great day either. Clearly the guys were meant to live life here in LA because they weren't very happy to be back home in France as you can tell by these pics:
Awww ... the poor guys. Some people would kill to be able to live in France, these two just want to be in LA. The grass is always greener, it seems.
This afternoon, Tony and I are going to another taping featuring Kylie and we are hoping for better luck this time. The Late Late Show tapes on the CBS lot so I'm gonna have to pick up my key from security ... what a whacky day. I sincerely hope all y'all's day is going better than mine did yesterday. OY!!

Spotted: Gossip Girl Shoots New Scenes In Manhattan
Photo credit: Splash News and Bauer-Griffin
Teen drama Gossip Girl suffered a weak UK debut last night with just 293,000 viewers for ITV2. An initial audience of 520,000 tuned in for the start of the episode at 10pm but quarter of an hour later it was down to just 244,000. Across the hour the show averaged 1.92% of the total audience. The average audience for the slot last year was 471,000 (3.16%).
Ouch. I guess Brits aren't all that interested in the bitchy lives of NYC rich kids backstabbing, feuding and sleeping around with one another ... huh, I wonder what gives. It sounds like perfect entertainment to me :) [Source, Source]
Here is a short video preview for the new batch of eps set to debut on April 21:
I, for one, am most excited about the introduction of the Georgina Sparks character ... the show has gotten a bit slow for me so I'm looking forward to an infusion of new blood ... the Sparks are, indeed, gonna fly.

Kiefer Gets Lucky In NYC
Not even the drizzly rain and the chilly weather could wipe the smile off the man's face. It's really great to see that 1.) Kiefer has managed to keep himself out of trubs since being released from a DUI jail sentence and 2.) that Kiefer is having great luck with the ladies. I'm very much looking forward to new eps of 24 but we've got a long time to wait before the season debuts ... at least we know that Kief is keepin' himself bizzy in his downtime. [Source]

Mariah Surpasses Elvis; Has The Beatles In Her Sights
With her 18th chart-topper "Touch My Body," Mariah Carey has passed Elvis Presley for the most No. 1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100, and is now second only to the Beatles. But while the diva was in full celebration mode after learning of her latest milestone, she was also quick to put her accomplishment in perspective. "I really can never put myself in the category of people who have not only revolutionized music but also changed the world," Carey told The Associated Press on Tuesday via phone from London. "That's a completely different era and time ... I'm just feeling really happy and grateful." Carey's single is the new No. 1 single on Billboard's Hot 100 singles chart: The song also is No. 1 on the trade magazine's digital download chart thanks to a precedent-setting 286,000 downloads in its debut week. She had been tied with Presley with 17 No. 1 singles; the Beatles are the all-time leaders with 20 (Madonna also beat a Presley record this week, surpassing the King for the most top 40 hits with her 37th for her hit "4 Minutes.") Carey said being in such company was gratifying not only because of her personal success, but what it meant for women and minorities. "For me, in my mind the accomplishment is just that much sweeter," she said. "In terms of my ethnicity, always feeling like an outsider, always feeling different ... for me it's about saying, 'Thank you Lord, for giving me the faith to believe in myself when other people had written me off'" ... Carey, 38, said this is the most enjoyable point of her nearly two-decade old career, and that's her priority these days, not trying to set sales records or even making pop history. "I've gone through enough of my life worrying about that kind if thing," said Carey. "I want to encourage anyone else out there who feels like maybe they can't overcome an obstacle, I feel like I'm living proof ... never lose your faith," she added. "I'm seriously a grateful individual right now."
This is a spectacular and historic accomplishment on Mimi's part and she truly deserves all the accolades for having reached this milestone. Altho The Beatles hold the record for the most #1 songs in music history (a record that Mariah is only 2 songs away from matching, 3 away from beating) Mariah Carey now holds the record for the most #1 songs by a solo performer -- she beat Elvis, y'all! That is huge. I have no doubt that she will surpass record held by The Beatles, prolly with the singles to be released from her new album E=MC2. Much congrats, Mariah! [Source]

Madonna Covers Another Elle Magazine
The portion of the interview posted on Elle.com doesn't really give much away ... the first 2 pages of the online excerpt is a rambling exposition on the Elle interviewer's trek to LA to interview Madonna in her Hollywood Hills mansion with a short Q&A where she reveals who the disciplinarian in the family is ("Oh, definitely me. Guy's a softie when it comes to our kids."), discusses how shopping incognito never works for her ("Lola likes us to do that. The incognito never really lasts very long, because everyone knows I wear baseball caps. So I guess I don't really have an incognito."), confesses what her favorite hobby is ("Jujitsu. I don't get it—grown men throwing each other around. But he loves it.") and remains mum on what she and hubby Guy Ritchie talk about in bed ("None of your business!").
But her interview in the UK version of Elle gives a bit more insight as to what Maddy and Guy might talk about in bed ... in fact, in her interview with the mag, Madonna reveals much about her bedtime activities with her husband:
She may be almost 50, but Madonna has no problem bearing all – when it comes to interviews, at least. For May's U.K. issue of Elle, the still-sexy singer ... chats candidly about her kids, her sex life and her tempestuous marriage to Guy Ritchie. Madonna and the 39-year-old filmmaker have been dogged by rumors of marital strife, culminating last month, when the singer's rep was forced to release a statement saying, "Mr. and Mrs. Guy Ritchie remain happily married." In the interview, she talks frankly about the struggles they face as two strong-willed halves of a Hollywood power couple. "I had to marry a challenge because otherwise I would just get bored," she says. "Whatever else Guy is, he's never boring ... We're both there to help each other and challenge each other." In fact, Madonna tells Elle, Ritchie inspired her new song "Miles Away," in which she laments being forced to spend so much time apart. "So many people have to deal with long-distance relationships," she says. "It's not easy. You have to work hard to make it work." And in the bittersweet love song, "Incredible," the 49-year-old croons, "sex with you is incredible." Is that also a tribute to her husband-of-seven-years? "Absolutely," she tells the magazine. "Sex with Guy is incredible ... And surprise, surprise, it's his favorite song on the album. Actually, maybe it's not his favorite song, but it's definitely his favorite line." Still, she seems bemused by all the media speculation surrounding the state of her union. "I'm sure people aren't that interested in my marriage," she insists. "Posh and Becks are much more interesting."
Oh, that Madonna ... always trying to shock us by revealing too much personal information. But this time, she does sound softer ... talking about happy sex with her husband isn't shocking or risqué, it's actually very nice. And despite what she may think, people are insanely interested in every portion of her life ... I would argue even more so than Posh and Becks. [Source, Source]
Additionally, Elle.com has posted a short video from Madonna's covershoot for the magazine:
One last bit of newish Madonna info ... here are a few more screencaps from her music video 4 Minutes which features Justin Timberlake:
Directors Jonas and Francois have confirmed on their official My Space profile that this video WILL DEBUT ONLINE on 04.04 at precisely 4:44pm local time at www.Tick-Tock.tv:
And the Madonna promo train continues to roll on ...

Becks On The TV, Vicki B. In The Past
Becks was the first guest on The Tonight Show last night so his interview was broken up into two parts ... here is video of his full 2-segement interview:
Hee hee ... as I said, there really weren't any nuggets of new info but it's always great to see (tho not necessarily hear) David Beckham on TV.
Vicki B. and their boys Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz were not in the hiz last night to watch Becks chat with Jay Leno as they were making their way back home to SoCal from the UK. Here are pics of VB, who was rockin' a pair of dVb bell-bottom jeans (please, God, tell me this look isn't coming back) and the boys as they arrived at Heathrow Airport in London on their way back to LA yesterday afternoon:
Fashionista Victoria Beckham kept it casual but still seemed to be pioneering a new trend as she arrived back in LA today. Accompanied by sons Cruz and Romeo, the fashion designer stepped out in seventies-style flared jeans and a round-neck charcoal sweater, slashed to strips at the back. This is a dramatic difference to the skin-tight chic Posh was sporting during her visit back to Britain to support footballer husband David in England's game against France ... Although dressed down, Victoria looked her usual groomed self, carrying a large tote and wearing her trademark oversized sun-glasses - must-haves for life in LA.
Boo ... I am SO not feeling the bell-bottom look. I really hope this does not become a new trend because this look really needs to stay in the '70's for a very long time. Blech. At any rate, VB and co. are prolly already back home in LA with their precious daddy Becks ... hopefully burning this pair of heinous jeans. [Source]

Thanks For Nothing
The Spice Girls would like to thank each and every one of you that has taken the time to write and tell them just how much you enjoyed the Return Of The Spice Girls Tour. The girls worked really hard on the show, and hearing how much you loved it has made all of the work worthwhile! Sadly there will not be a DVD release of the 47-date tour but the girls hope you were all left with some fantastic personal memories of the show. Emma, Geri, Mel B, Melanie C and Victoria said "We had an absolutely amazing time on the Return of The Spice Girls Tour and we would like to say a final thank you for all of your support. Girl Power lives on."
And so, the last hopes of all the Spice Girls fans that weren't able to dole out hundreds of dollars for tickets OR weren't even given the opportunity to pay to attend one of their concerts due to show cancellations have been dashed with this new announcement. This makes no sense to me at all ... unless this is a poorly executed April Fool's joke one day late (the announcement was made today, April 2) this strikes me as a huge misstep on their part. A DVD release of this tour would've generated beaucoup bucks and would've offered an affordable way for folks who weren't able to see the show live and in person to at least see the show in full on their TVs. I have a hard time believing this is the final word on a possible DVD release of this tour. [Source]

Flavors Of The Week
The album artwork has a bit of a Jagged Little Pill look to it. Flavors is Alanis's first album of new material since So-Called Chaos was released back in 2004 (altho, Alanis did release an acoustic version of her smash album Jagged Little Pill in 2005 as well as a greatest hits collection later on that same year). I have been looking forward to this album for some time now ... it's great to finally see what the album artwork looks like. [thanks Sunny]
Additionally, here are a few promo pics of Alanis which have just made their way to me:
These pics show an interesting direction for Alanis ... I can't wait to hear the music.

Dancing Queen
Photo credit: Splash News and INFdaily
She's been Britain's sweetheart for years, but now Kylie has launched a bid to crack the US, and donned a rather risqué bondage style outfit for her first appearance on American television for five years. Kylie took centre stage on the US version of Strictly Come Dancing in the raunchy outfit, as she attempted to win over American audiences. The singer, meanwhile, received moral support from sister Dannii, who arrived dressed in a figure-hugging silver dress and fitted jacket, for her sister's appearance. The 39-year-old Australian pop star wore a black bondage style outfit, complete with arm cuffs, and hanging chains. She added stiletto heeled platform boots and a peaked Village People style cap, to sing Can't Get You Out Of My Head on top-rated show Dancing With The Stars. Kylie has decamped to America along with sister Dannii in the hope cracking the US market which has remained remarkably lukewarm to her. And she kicked off the campaign with the racy performance on the top-rated show, which regularly draws an audience of 20 million viewers.
Kylie sang two songs, and changed for the second appearance into a platinum blonde bobbed wig, red sequined mini-dress and gold platform shoes. She asked the studio audience "are you feeling good?", before singing her ballad, All I See from her new album X which is released in the US [Tuesday] ... Kylie's US publicity campaign continues in earnest over the next few days, with guest appearances on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.
I cannot stress enough how exciting it is to have Kylie news come from right here in the US ... it's so unheard of, I don't even know what to do with myself. The DWTS taping, which my friend Tony and I was lucky to attend, was a very long process since Kylie had to perform each song twice and then there was a performance by the Alvin Ailey Dance Company that also had to be done twice. I am bummed to reveal that I wasn't able to manage a quick meet and greet with Kylie at yesterday's taping :( That said, Tony and I did have an amazing time seeing Kylie perform live. Today, I'm meeting up with Tony and some of his friends for Kylie's appearance on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson to see her in person again and to try and manage a meeting one more time ;) Much love goes out to Derek who managed to get the VIP treatment for Tony and me at yesterday's show and much, much love goes out to Amy at ABC for taking such great care of us.
