Play With Your Heroes
I'm not sure if the action figures can be stripped nekkid (and if so, if they are anatomically correct) but just imagine all the pressing together fun you can have with the Claire Bennett and Peter Petrelli dolls. Fan boys take note, the Heroes action figures have yet to be given a release date so the fantasies will have to wait a little bit longer.

Birds Of A Feather Slum Together
Sadie Frost's on/off boyfriend Kristian Marr was taken away by police in the early hours of this morning after breaking into Amy Winehouse's garage. The Towers of London bassist, 24, was left outside Amy's north London home after the pair shared a car home from Henley, Oxfordshire, where they had spent the weekend with friends. Arriving in a people carrier with her manager's assistant Alex Haines, the barefooted singer, dressed in denim shorts and a white polo shirt, walked into her Camden flat, leaving a sleepy Kristian outside. Instead of returning to his own home, the bedraggled rocker prised opened the door of Amy's garage and snuck under it for a nap. As he snuck under the door, his baggy trousers started to slip down, exposing his blue underpants to the onlooking paparazzi. His forty winks didn't last too long when the police arrived at 2am this morning and coaxed him out of the garage. In a bid to remain in the garage, Kristian told police he was in the Rehab singer's band and was "staying with her".

If this is Amy's plan to make herself look better, I don't think it's working. The thing that really bothers me is that both of these pitiful creatures are "famous musicians" who command ample amounts of money for their "art" and are lauded by others as celebrities. To me, they are basically junkies and vagrants. I just don't understand how people like this can be held up as people to be admired and respected. They really should be forced in rehabilitation programs before it's too late. I just don't get it. [Source]

Gimme, Gimme Dior
It looks like Fall Fashion Week arrived a wee bit early but I guess when Dior wants to throw a runway show, well, they throw the runway show whenever the hell they want to. J. Lo was lookin' like the supreme Diva Latina that she is and both Xtina and Leighton looked amazing in the colors they chose to wear. Thank Gawd Xtina ditched the red lipstick for a minute ... the hot pink looks great with her pale complexion. Leighton chose well with that green dress ... she looks stunning. Marc Anthony and Anna Wintour were both rockin' their usual looks ... which isn't a good thing ... but sometimes in fashion, it's not about what necessarily looks good more than it is who's making the rules. Penn Pals? Or A Lively New Romance
This new batch of photos (which can all be seen HERE) are the first proof that Blake and Penn have sparked up a real-life romance off screen. I don't recall hearing anything serious about these two dating off camera but I guess they make a very nice couple. They look great together on screen, why wouldn't they also work together off screen? Now that the secret's out, I'm sure we'll be seeing much more of the happy new couple (Blakeley? Pennley? Yeah, I'm still workin' on it) around town together :) [Source]

A New Class Enrolls At West Beverly High
In this first pic, we can see the show's matriarch Lori Loughlin is flanked by a cast of newcomers (Dustin Milligan, AnnaLynne McCord, Jessica Walter, Shenae Grimes, Tristan Wilds, Ryan Eggold, Jessica Stroup and Michael Steger -- none of whom look to be in their 30s ... but we have been fooled by youthful faces on 90210 before) who will be vying for our love and affection in the hopes that they will become the new Luke Perrys and Shannen Dohertys. Original Beverly Hills, 90210 alums Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling have signed on to appear on the show as recurring characters (Jennie will reprise her role as Kelly Taylor, who has grown up to become the guidance counselor at West Beverly High) but they, apparently, aren't important enough to the show to make the first cast photo. Tsk tsk. Personally, I'm lukewarm on the notion of a 90210 spinoff ... so they're gonna have to impress me. I'll tune in when the show premieres this Fall, I just hope they can bring the same bad clothing, bad acting and bad drama that the original show did back in the early 90s ;) [thanks Kevin]

The Hills: Did Heidi Just Have An LC Moment?
In all the hubbub of last night's season finale event for The Hills, I was unable to watch the ep at the party but I couldn't go to bed without watching the ep to see how this crazy third season ended. Thruout this season (which was extended with bonus eps this Spring) there have been big changes in the lives of both Lauren LC Conrad and Heidi Montag. They may be bitter enemies but both ladies have been enduring major changes in their lives. Okay, so really they've been dealing with the same sort of drama that most 20-somethings endure but they were enduring it on TV and we got to watch. Leading up to last night's finale, things appeared to be coming to a head for both LC & Audrina and Heidi & Spencer ... were things resolved? Were things made worse? Let's talk about it:
Okay ... we should've known that Spencer was about to snap considering that he kept letting his beard grow ... to be honest, I'm surprised he didn't flip out sooner. I guess the prospect of Heidi ditching him for good to make a new life for herself in Las Vegas was the last straw. I gotta say, if you want to keep a secret you would be very wise not to tell the She-Spencer. That girl is totally incapable of keeping her lips zipped. I wouldn't be surprised if she was the one that leaked the news that Ashlee and Pete are getting married this weekend. But I digress. It was great seeing Heidi hanging with her big bosses ... you could almost believe that she was going to have an active role in the construction of their new casino. I just knew crazed Spencer was gonna show up and try to muck up her plans ... but I didn't actually foresee that Heidi would do all the mucking up on her own. It never occurred to me that Heidi would ditch all of her professional dreams to have a huge career of her own just to be with a boyfriend. It never occurred to me because this the exact same sort of thing that happened at the end of season 1 of The Hills when LC ditched out on taking the summer internship for Teen Vogue in Paris, France and decided to shack up with Jason Wahler instead. HMMM ... maybe the New York Times needs to take the title of "Feminist Hero" away from Heidi and give it to someone who wouldn't throw away her career just for boy (maybe they could give the title to Lo? I'm also lobbying for Rolling Stone to give Lo her own magazine cover as well). At the end of the ep, we learned that Speidi moved back in with one another ... which does kinda make me happy because next season will be a lot more fun with those two working together as the villainous duo rather than working against each other as quarreling lovers. On the LC front, the divide between her and Audrina just keeps getting bigger and bigger ... and it looks like their living arrangement is just about dunzo. While Speidi are getting back together, LC and Audrina seem to be "breaking up". Next season should be fun. The preview for season 4 showed LC getting close with her new guy, Audrina and Lo lookin' to fight and Speidi cooking up new ways to bring havoc on the show.
Weeee! I'm excited. However will I be able to wait until August?! [Source]

The TV Guide: The View From The Top Of The Hills
As always, the ladies (and men) of The Hills were really fun to chat with ... Lauren was really excited that they are doing another season (which debuts this August). Everyone seemed really jazzed for a new season ... which, by the looks of last night's finale, promises to bring the drama all over the place. I will have my recap of the ep in a bit.
Here are a few more pics from the soiree ... I got to meet the beautiful blogger from I'm Not Obsessed at the event as well as a few Pink readers, like Francesca (pictured below) ... and of course Jordan and I had to take a few cheesy snaps of our own as well:
The party was fun but, I must confess, it was pretty cold up in dem hills ... I felt so bad for all the girls in their party dresses ... I was freezing with long sleeves, I'm sure they weren't lovin' all the cold. Much love goes out to Emily and Dierdre from MTV for taking such good care of Jordan and me last night. I, for one, am very excited to see to what heights The Hills will take the drama next season.
Much love goes out to Steph and Alek for uploading my short interview clip on You Tube which you can watch HERE if you missed seeing it last night :)

Happy Bea-Day!
In fact, GG is on my TV right now as I am typing this (it's the clip-show episode where the girls are reminiscing about how they came to live together since they can't sleep after having just watched Psycho). I DVR every ep of GG that airs on Lifetime every day so that I can play the eps in the background while I blog ... and that's prolly more information than really needs to be shared. Anyways, much love and a very Happy Birthday goes out to Bea today ... may she enjoy many more happy birthdays in the years to come! XOXO

Shia LaBeouf Does GQ Magazine
Shia LaBeouf is looking pretty lethargic on the new GQ cover. But maybe we should cut him some slack. After all, the 21-year-old actor does tell the mag that when it came to prepping for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, he "never worked so hard for anything in my life. I did four months of sword fighting and bike training. And I spent insane amounts of time on the switchblade." Not to mention the relentless razzing from his buddies when it comes to his personal life, like the time a rumor began circulating that he was dating Rihanna. "My friends were like, 'Are you serious, bro? Why didn't you tell me about that?' I was like, 'I really don't know her like that.' For weeks they were singing that "Umbrella" song everywhere I walked. And those are my people!"
You know, I really like Shia LaBeouf. He has done a great job of picking the right film roles at the right time and seems well on his way to more success with Indiana Jones. I hope he continues to keep his level head on straight as his fame grows because power and influence has a funny way of spoiling good people and turning them into doucebags. He strikes me as a really good kid ... I'd love to see him stay that way. [Source]

SJP* Does Vogue Magazine
The coverstory is a long read which talks (at length) about the Vogue shoot and the famous street scenes of the SaTC movie that were shot in front of the world's cameras (and how the images of Carrie in a wedding dress were meant to look like a movie plot spoiler but, in fact, were only part of a wedding dream sequence for the film). There are so many folks that are very excited for the SaTC movie ... I wasn't really interested in the hype surrounding the show when it aired on HBO all those years ago but as a new convert, I am really looking forward to the continuing movie hype. With only 2 weeks to go, I'm just anxious to see the dang movie already. I love the pre-release promo tho ... this Vogue shoot is so cute ... I suppose it's a nice little appetizer to enjoy until we get to see the show shebang on May 30. [Source]

The Return Of Britney
Britney Spears returned to CBS's How I Met Your Mother Monday as Abby, the silly-vulnerable receptionist with an unrequited crush on Ted (Josh Radnor). The ratings spiked with her first appearance, so she was quickly shoehorned into this new episode. The fact that Britney's second guest spot really didn't work was no fault of hers. She's not at all bad at playing clunkily-sweetly dumb. I liked the way she tried to vent her conflicted feelings of anger and love for Ted while lying in bed and staring dreamily at the ceiling: "You know what I hate most about Ted? His stupid hair ... His stupid, lame, awesome hair. It's so stupid and awesome," she said with a cute, singsong lilt. But the script was an awful piece of specialty construction. Abby's reverie occurred in a bed shared with Barney (Neil Patrick Harris), who was also feeling rejected by Ted -- as a friend. His and Abby's mutual annoyance turned them both on, so they slept together. Then they decided to pose as a couple to annoy Ted. Then Barney carried the joke too far by proposing to Abby. Then Abby suddenly thought Barney really loved her. Then, to get out of the engagement, Barney told Abby that their romance had done the trick and now a jealous Ted did love Abby. And then Abby got this crazy love-hungry Shelley Winters-like gleam in her eye, setting up the possibility for a third guest spot. Well, that’s a lot to cram into the subplot of a 20-odd-minute show. It would have taken me less time to type out the synopsis of Dangerous Liaisons. The twists felt arbitrary and perverse, even for a so-so sitcom, which is what HIMYM is.
I believe the entire ep of HIMYM can be streamed online at CBS.com but you can watch all the Britney Spears clips from last night's ep online HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE. It's not that I don't necessarily agree with the People critic but I think that pontificating about a primetime sitcom like this, especially when a guest appearance by a non-actress is involved, kinda misses the point. I think fans just want to see their favorite guest stars on their favorite TV shows. I watched the ep and I really think that it turned out very well ... I think I even preferred it to the first ep that Brit guested on (hello, we got to see NPH topless in bed). In the end, the situation is win-win for both the show and for Britney. HIMYM got renewed for next season and Britney is showing the naysayers that she can get her life back in order and be successful again. Love it, love her!! [Source]

Xanadu Is On A Roll! The Musical Nabs Four Tony Award Nominations!!
I cannot tell you how thrilled I am that Xanadu ended up nabbing so many noms, including the big one for Best Musical. Oh yeah, there were some other nominations announced today as well ... Macbeth nabbed 6 nominations (among them, Best Performance by a Leading Actor for Patrick Stewart and Best Performance by a Leading Actress for Kate Fleetwood). The musical In the Heights walked away with the most noms this year (13, in all the major categories) and the play August: Osage County got 6 noms:
"In the Heights," an original musical written by a university student about life in a working-class New York neighborhood, led the nominations for Broadway's top theater honors, the Tony Awards, on Tuesday. Among the 13 nominations for "In The Heights" were best musical, best original score, best performance by a featured actor in a musical for Lin-Manuel Miranda, who also wrote the musical, and best direction of a musical for Thomas Kail. Miranda wrote the musical, set in Manhattan's largely Hispanic Washington Heights neighborhood, while in his second year at Wesleyan University and after graduating he and Kail reworked it for a larger audience. It first played in Connecticut before moving to an off-Broadway theater and then making its Broadway debut on March 9 this year ... After an award-winning run in London's West End, "Macbeth," starring Patrick Stewart, moved across the Atlantic this year to pick up six nominations, including best revival of a play, best performance by a leading actor for Stewart, and best performance by a leading actress for Kate Fleetwood. "It's so deeply satisfying to find that the production has been recognized across the creative board," Stewart told Reuters. "Macbeth does not have too glowing a history with Tony voters" ... Pulitzer Prize-winning play "August: Osage County" received seven nominations, including best play, for which it is competing against Tom Stoppard's "Rock 'n' Roll" and "The Seafarer" -- each with four nominations -- and "The 39 Steps," which ended up with six nominations ... Also nominated for best musical were "Xanadu" and "Cry-Baby," which both received a total of four nominations ... The awards will be presented June 15.
Clearly I *must* be good luck for Tony nominations ... I just recently saw both Macbeth and Xanadu (for the second time) on my last trip to NYC and now they are both reveling in Tony Award noms :) Obvs, I'll be rooting for Xanadu in the Musical categories and Macbeth in the Play categories ... but I have heard amazing things about both In the Heights and August: Osage County (which David loved). Hopefully, I'll get to see both of these shows on my next visit to NYC, clearly they are worth checking out. Much, much love and congrats goes to Kerry Butler on her Best Lead Actress nomination for Xanadu and all my love goes to the entire Xanadu company today. I really wish there was a Tony Award for Best Hawtness in Shorty Shorts because Xanadu's Cheyenne Jackson would be a shoe-in to win. Good luck, y'all ... I've got all my fingers and toes crossed for you :)

Mrs. Cannon Speaks
For Nick Cannon, one trip down the aisle just wasn't enough! "His plan is to have one [wedding] every year," newlywed Mariah Carey told Ellen DeGeneres in an interview that will air Tuesday. Carey wouldn't mind another wedding either. "Instead of trying to be like, 'You're invited, but shhh, don't tell anybody,' we're just going to have another one [wedding] next year," Carey said. Their small nuptials on April 30 were mostly attended by people "to do my hair and help me with the dress," Carey revealed. "And then, three of my friends and he had three people with him. It wasn't a lot of people taking pictures." Carey says that Cannon proposed to her. "I would never propose to someone…" she explained. As for the bling? "We designed each other's rings," Carey said ... Next up for the couple? Kids! "I always said ... if I found the right person who I felt would be on the same page as me in term of raising kids and having the same belief system, [we'd have kids]," Carey said. "I've always had a weird thing about it because my parents divorced when I was three and I didn't have many examples of what was the 'norm,'" she adds. (Yesterday, Reuben Cannon told Usmagazine.com that his half brother Nick "definitely wants kids.")
Geeze, the way Mariah is talking, you'd think that they actually fell madly in love in just 6 weeks and may actually stay together long enough to have yearly weddings. I don't know that I'm entirely convinced of that (something about the quickiness just doesn't scream long-term commitment to me) but if that's her story, well, I guess we'll have to see. Mariah's interview on Ellen airs today and depending on where you are in the country either the ep has already aired or will air later on in the afternoon. BUT, you can watch Part 1 of her interview online HERE, Part 2 HERE and Part 3 HERE. [Source]
After Mimi was done gabbing with Ellen, she made her way (sans hubby Nick) to Fred Segal for a little shopping jaunt ...
... before finally meeting up with her new husband for dinner at the Japanese eatery Gyu-Kaku:
You know, for such a crazily happy couple, Mimi and Nick sure do spend a lot of time apart. I'd imagine that a couple who *had* to be married only 6 weeks after they started dating would be absolutely inseparable for weeks after their nuptials ... but all these separate cars and individual excursions ... HMMMM. In any event, I wish the happy couple well. It remains to be seen if their love will stand the test of time but it appears at least that they are giving it a good go ... well, that's the story they're telling right now.

Wedding Plans
Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz will wed Saturday, May 17 at a "top secret" location, a source close to the couple told Usmagazine.com. "Proper invites have not been sent out but instead guests have been given a save the date notice," the source told Us. The rehearsal dinner – described by the source as "an intimate affair" for "family and close friends only" – will take place on Friday. On Saturday, "all guests will be transported in shuttles to the wedding location," the source explained. Regarding Simpson's upcoming wedding, her spokesperson told Us: "This is a private matter. There is nothing to confirm."
This is great news! As far as celeb couples go, I really think that Ashlee and Pete have a solid chance of having a long and happily successful marriage ... that is, if Papa Joe Simpson doesn't stick his meddling nose in their private life and muck up their relationship. I would love for the happy couple to be married this weekend, they seem really happy with one another and I'd love to see them cement that love in the bounds of holy matrimony. Incidentally, it'll be interesting to see if Tony Romo accompanies Jessica Simpson to the secret affair ... cuz, you know, they might be broken up and stuff. But really, the day will be about Ashlee ... well, it should be at least. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this save the date report is true :) [Source]
